Finding Jobs
The Workforce Recruitment Program for College Students with Disabilities
The WRP is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private sector employers nationwide with highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has tips for applying for federal jobs that are good to know for other kinds of jobs as well.
The publishers of Careers and the Disabled magazine offer Career Expos around the country each year. Check out the magazine itself for leads as well.

Internship Opportunities
The first stop in finding out about internships or co-operative education (co-op) opportunities is your campus Career Services office. They'll have access to a variety of programs and many work with the campus Disability Services office, so you can ask if they know of opportunities for disabled students.

American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD)
Each summer, AAPD places college students, graduate students, law students, and recent graduates with all types of disabilities in paid 10-week summer internships in Congressional offices, federal agencies, non-profit, and for-profit organizations in the Washington, DC area.

- The Job Accommodations Network offers advice about accommodations at work
- Disability.gov has a list of resources about employment for people with disabilities
- You might be eligible for career services through the Department of Vocational Services. Find your local office.
- The Veterans Administration is another good source.
