The Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) at the University of Pittsburgh is offering a 10-week summer research internship for students with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).
The goal of the program is to increase the number of individuals with SCI who pursue STEM-related degrees and careers by providing them the opportunity to engage in active research with peers who themselves have SCI. A maximum of six (6) students will be accepted in the initial cohort.
The program provides a stipend, free housing, a travel allowance, and funds to assist with nurse/attendant care. The following link provides additional program details, along with instructions on how to apply:
