Microsoft disAbility renewable scholarship $5,000/year DUE March 1, 2019

​Microsoft: disAbility Scholarship enable high school students with disabilities to go to college and target a career in the technology industry.

The amount of this renewable scholarship to be awarded is $5,000 per year, up to $20,000 total.

All completed applications must be submitted by March 1, 2019.

​Providian Medical believes "...that education is key for anyone preparing to enter the workplace and embark on a career. To that end, we hope to play a small part in helping students achieve their educational goals with this bi-annual $500 scholarship."

More from their website: To apply for the scholarship, you must submit an original essay of up to 1,500 words that describes how medical equipment technology has changed the face of a college course and curriculum. Entries can also include a look toward the future and how this area of study will continue to evolve and advance.

 The Mensa Foundation's College Scholarship Program

The U.S. scholarship program covers all of the country and awards more than $100,000 every year. 
International Scholarship Program available as well.

The Foundation's college scholarship program bases its awards totally on essays written by the applicants. Consideration is not given to grades, academic program or financial need.

Essays are due January 15, 2019.

​In 2021, a federal discretionary grant (P116D210002) was awarded via  the National Center for Information and Technical Support for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities Program (NCITSPSD) to the University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration (ICI-UMN), in full partnership with the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and is authorized by Congress in the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (777.4). 

The NCITSPSD program grant was originally awarded in 2015 (P116D150005) to the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).
