!The Dickey’s Barbecue Scholarship Program is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to 3 lucky high school grads or college students who meet all the requirements set in place. Students will be recognized for all their capacity and hard work with an opportunity to lead and serve. The scholarship from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will grant each of these 3 students with $1,000 toward their college tuition.

The Springboard Foundation is proud to extend scholarships to full-time undergraduate college students who have documented disabilities of any type that are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and/or the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Our scholarship recipients attend college and universities across the United States and are currently enrolled full-time in undergraduate courses. The applicant must have an accumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and completed twenty-four credit hours from a four year accredited university/college.

Disabled Students! Contact your Financial Aid Office right away to see if you qualify for Emergency Aid

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced today more than $6 billion will be distributed immediately to colleges and universities to provide direct emergency cash grants to college students whose lives and educations have been disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak. The funding is available through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, signed into law by the President  less than two weeks ago.

Students should contact their campus financial aid office now or check out the campus Financial Aid website for more information about these cash grants.

AHEAD Scholarships for Students with Disabilities for Fall of 2020

The Association on Higher Education And Disability announces its annual scholarship opportunity for current students in college.

One award will be made to an undergraduate student and one award to a graduate student.

The application deadline is April 15th, 2020.

Student Scholarships require nomination from a current AHEAD member. You can check with your campus' Disability Resource Center to see if staff there are members of AHEAD.

Note: Nitro is a company that works with a number of financial institutions,  so if you sign up with Nitro you might get steered to those lenders. Still, they do have some good free information on their site.

​In 2021, a federal discretionary grant (P116D210002) was awarded via  the National Center for Information and Technical Support for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities Program (NCITSPSD) to the University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration (ICI-UMN), in full partnership with the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and is authorized by Congress in the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (777.4). 

The NCITSPSD program grant was originally awarded in 2015 (P116D150005) to the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).
